Meet Our Donors

John Fisk

As a former heart patient – and now as a volunteer who encourages other heart patients – I see firsthand the innovative, new procedures the doctors at the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute are employing to better the lives of patients. I’ve also seen the Heart Institute grow its regional presence and even become a national presence, all while keeping its focus on the patient experience. I want to be a part of this great growth story, and I hope my gift will inspire others to realize that the quality of our health system is key to our own health. I’m glad my contribution, along with others, will benefit future generations long after I have passed.

“Josie and I have been affiliated with Rochester General Hospital for over 50 years because we want to support the physicians and medical teams who help so many in the Rochester area. My career started as a resident and grew into chief medical officer, and Josie has served on the hospital Association’s Board of Directors and volunteers with The Twigs. Because of that, we’ve both seen firsthand how the hospital and the entire health system are committed to innovation and excellence – all to help our friends and neighbors. We are so grateful for that, and we want to always show our appreciation by giving back.” -- Dr. Richard and Mrs. Josie Gangemi

“I never took for granted the wonderful caring people I have had the pleasure and honor of working with through my 30 years on staff. Because of them, our small community hospital has grown into such a 􀏐ine high quality care facility. Giving back is my small way to eventually say goodbye to the place that was such a part of my life for so many wonderful years.” – Joseph Canzoneri, MD

Cheryl and Richard DeMeyers

Because Home Matters

Cheryl DeMeyers was raised in Williamson, NY. Her husband, Richard, grew up in the nearby town of Sodus. Both ended up finding their first jobs in Newark, where they’ve been living for the last 50 years. And in that time, they have grown increasingly proud to have Newark-Wayne Community Hospital as a part of their home.

Paying It Forward
